 | National Night Out Connects Community |

|
On Monday November 10th the Ormond Beach Police Department hosted its annual National Night Out at the park across from the Casements and the OSLT was there. Volunteers Jody Gibian-Miles, Laura Ureta, Jasmarie Cooper and Nancy Galdo were on hand to provide information and to run a family-fun fishing activity which was very popular with children at the event. National Night Out is a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting community and partnership been local police departments and their jurisdictions. Thanks to all who volunteered and who also stopped by our booth to say "hi!" and learn more about the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail. |

| Temperatures in the 50's didn't stop the community from coming out to enjoy bounce houses, a petting zoo, food trucks and local vendors offering raffle prizes. | | |

 | | | Volunteers Have Fun at Riverfest | | |
| Ormond Main Street's Riverfest Seafood Festival at the Casements was a lot of fun over the weekend. We enjoyed meeting new people, operating our kiddie fishing pool and sharing our "Love of the Loop" with others -- and some of us even got to enjoy a taste of the delicious seafood provided by local restaurants and vendors. It has been a busy time for our group as the National Night Out had been scheduled for October but was re-scheduled due to weather. Thank you to all our steadfast volunteers who make such a difference during these community events: Laura Ureta, Jody Gibian-Miles, Jasmarie Cooper, Melody Lopez, Nancy Galdo and welcoming our new event volunteers: Ron Fell, Jr., Melissa Burns, Janet Bernardini, Marianne Burley, Dorothy Davis and Eamon Oktar. | | |

Sneak Peek at 2026 ReGrow Programs | We’re so pleased that the ReGrow the Loop initiative continues to be relevant and popular with the public. Through the continued support of Volusia County, the Ormond Beach Public Library, the Environmental Discovery Center and the City of Ormond Beach, ReGrow the Loop has been able to reach and educate local residents about how they can help enrich and enhance our local environment.
These informative presentations would not be possible without the host of knowledgeable RGTL partners who volunteer their time to make a difference. Many thanks to the Pawpaw Florida Native Plant Society (Leslie Nixon), Halifax River Audubon (Joan Tague), Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail (Laura Ureta/City of Ormond Beach, Bryce Merritt, Fl. Dept of Agriculture, Nancy Galdo), Katie Tripp/Natural Beauty Native FL Landscapes, Jessy Wayles/Indian River Lagoon Council, Tomoka Basin State Park (Mark Adams Park Service Specialist), Dream Green Volusia, Amber Carson, Action Tree Care.
The complete 2026 ReGrow the Loop schedule will be made public soon but here's a look at some of the interesting programs slated for the start of 2026. | | | | Our November Meeting - Open to All |
